We get that picking a photo for your print can be hard, especially if you've got a favourite one you're not sure will work.

To help get the best result out of your drawing, we've put together some examples of what we would class as a good picture, and what we would class as a bad one.

Good images include:

Forward facing subject
Good lighting
Clear picture, especially of facial features/animal's fur
Neck and above

Below are some images that would be difficult to make a good print out of.

This includes photos that are blurry, have bad lighting or cut off the subject.

Try to get a shot where they're facing the camera if possible. It also works better when there is more than just a face, for example having a bit of their neck/body showing will mean we can get a more even illustration done. Sometimes when they're cut off or don't have much surrounding them, they can look like they're sort of floating on the page.

While we appreciate some photos might be the only ones you have, we can work together to see what we can come up with! Some of the pets in the photos below aren’t necessarily facing the camera, don’t have really clear detail or aren’t in the perfect position, but we’ve still made some really cute prints from them!

So, don't be disheartened if you don't think your photo would work. We'll always try to make the photo you choose work as best as we can. You can always email or DM us if you have any queries about it!
